Pacquiao's people are cowards for not letting the fight be at 147lbs.

    145 ain't no fuсking division.
They just know that a drained Cotto is an easier guy to beat and when it's all said and done, the weight factor is something only hardcore fans will remember.

    ****'s disgusting.

I'll be rooting for Cotto this time... and everyone on this forum knows how much I dislike Cotto.

Yer, Pac is robbing his legacy making this at 145 when for 2 extra pounds there would be no questions at all.

Yes, and Julio Cesar Chavez was the biggest cowards of them all for fighting Pernell Whitaker at 145 pounds too....right?

GTFOH. Pac weighed 130 pounds just a few fights ago.

He has shown to have major balls in taking this fight with cotto. You're just a ******

Exactly, but they know what they're doing.
10 years from now none of the new boxing fans will know that it was at a catch weight.

Look at what happened with Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Donny Lalonde.

cotto was 146 last fight. he'd just pluck his brows and he'd make 145 easy.

                EXACTLY!

This is truly a fight for the fans and yet some idiots are crying over a pound or two. Get real. They are both in two different weight classes, 145 pounds is perfectly fine.

Not only is this a fight for the fans, it's a mega fight that will get our sport in the spot light. Stop crying and recognize how big this fight is and how much it means to our sport.

Weight was never a factor in Pernell Whitaker's career.

With Cotto's own admission that moving up in weight would make him be more effective (before Quintana fight), Pacquiao's people played the strategy card and would like to face a drained Cotto.
