I am not a John Ruiz fan but I do think that he deserves credit where it is due.

Credit is not due to someone that fights illegally. He's a joke and so is every referee that allows him to clinch more times than he lands punches (can we say Don King's payroll fattens those referee wallets? )

Ruiz seems to be a fairly nice guy, and he has some pretty good skills but I would rather have a root canal than watch one of his fights.

He had one fight I enjoyed, thats it. And he lost that fight.

Ruiz bores me to death, the sad thing is, I believe he thinks he is a great, exciting fighter, which is obviously not the case. But his style works for him, and it seems nobody knows how to stop a 240lb mexican from hugging them for 12 rounds...

Ruiz, I just love his style. He is unique. When he tried to fight like a boxer vs Golota, he got dropped immediately...

Seriously, how can anyone like Ruiz (as a fighter)? Maybe if you're Puerto Rican, OK, but apart from that?

Stylistically No, but his achievements cant be denied. He has one of the best resumes today in the heavyweight division and if that was any other persons resume he would be considered the number 1 heavyweight today.
