I don't think he wants to rematch Hopkins because not much has happened for either of them to say the result would be different. Hopkins hasn't slowed that much and Tito hasn't made a jump in ability. Tito did have a great showing against Mayorga, but Hopkins is a much badder man than Mayorga. But I don't think Tito will back down. He is just biding his time. He's taken on heavy competition his whole career including Bernard so I don't think he wants this as a blemish on his record and will take a rematch eventually.

personnally i don't think trinidad has much respect for winky and veiws him only as a warm up fight for someone better.

Trinidad wants to wait until Hopkins gets old and looks bad in a fight. He came out of retirement hopining that fight would be with De La Hoya, but it wasn't. If hopkins doesn't look as good as he normally does against Eastman, Trinidad will definitly be ready to re-match.

How is Tito running away from Hopkins,he's tried for a rematch for a long time now.He retired because Hopkins wouldn't give him a rematch,why do you think he's fighting winky at middle because he want's nard.
