I don't think it has to be a case of Hopkins just being below-par... what if Howard is just naturally better?

Okay, taking that aside, maybe Hopkins has got soft through all these easy defences he's been taking? Yeah, I know - DLH. But he was in way above his weight and no one gave him a chance.

i think eastman has a good chance. it seems to me that hopkins is overlooking him and looking for bigger fights with glen johnson and others

eastman naturally better than hopkins? you must be crazy, if eastman fought the same opponents as hopkins he would probably have 10 losses on his record, trinidad, echols, jones, holmes, vanderpool, johnson, allen, prob delahoya, would all beat eastman, and joppy did beat him, the guy has no shot

Most durable chin? come on man, Echols, Holmes, Allen, Brown, Trinidad, De La Hoya, Jones Jr. Hopkins has fought better competition all the way around. Eastman was beat by Joppy, granted he floored joppy in the final round, now he's spouting off excuses about him " toying " w/ Joppy. It's prof. Boxing, not ****in wrestling, you don't toy with another man who could mame or worse end your life. Eastman's mouth is writing checks his ass won't be able to cash. HOPKINS BY UN. DEC

Eastman lost to a post-Tito Joppy. With that being said he has no chance of beating Hopkins.

Forget Joppy - Eastman insists to this day (and I believe him) that the fights were rigged. He didn't get "beat" by Joppy, he lost a decision.

From what I saw (round 7 on) Howard won them all easily... now, bearing in mind two of those rounds were 10-8 rounds, how did Joppy get ahead on points?

As for DLH - forget it. I'm not dis*****g DLH's ability, but his power didn't even register at that weight. In all actuality, he's 0-2 as a middleweight (come on, we don't really believe he won against Sturm, do we?) Eastman has well above average power at the weight, and a good chin.

age doesnt really make a diff in this fight... they're both old... but i think hopkins skill will prevail in the fight....

Hopkins always spoke highly of his opponents and says that they posed a threat, HELL Hopkins was even caught quoting that Morrade was a threat before the fight happened. I think Hopkins is underestimating this guy, I dont like the fact that Hopkins who always trains in Miami switched over to California so he can take care of business with Golden Boy Promotions

Hopkins calling Eastman a B-Level fighter, is not Hopkins...Hell you think Hopkins would be like "**** Eastman is the dangerous man out their" since it IS his 20th defense and possibly last fight at Middleweight.

Hopkins opting out of Miami and training in California so he can handle business with GBP

Plus their is always the EA Curse, You know Glen was just a journey man tune-up for Tarver.

Ohh did I mention, Eastman probably has the most durable chin compared to any other fighter Hopkins has faced? To top it off, The man punches like he has cement gloves with anvil hands? Plus the Battersea bomber is coming with Heart.

My money is on Eastman, anyone thinks otherwise check out the betting forum.

Spinks man give me some of that shiznit yer smokin it must be FLAME!

nice...very nice. Took the words right out of my mouth. What did it for me is when B-hop called him a B-level fighter. I've never heard him say that. He even admitted in teh press-conf that he was getting lazy.

Yeah I give Eastman a shot. He's a tough nut who went through tough times (tougher than what Bhop went through) and he's got the thirst. Bhop is taking him lightly and said he's a B-level fighter. This is a bad sign for a disciplined guy like Nard. Let me remind you of these...

RJJ vs Glen J - brutal KO

                      Lewis vs Rahman 1
"Why are there a lot of people in the ring?" - Lewis muttering groggily after they helped him get up after the KO.

Leonard vs Duran 1 - shoulda boxed and not brawled
