I know this has probably been discussed to death, but it's the first time I've seen it.
What was the actual score card again? I had Naz winning just three rounds... five at the very, very most. Having said that, most of the rounds were reasonably competitive, except for the championship rounds when Barrera completely took over. Oh, and the points deduction was legit.
I would have liked to have seen the touted rematch, with Naz dropping all the stylistic stuff and just going in there to trade. Is Naz the hardest-hitting featherweight of all time? There seems a lot of power there.
Even though he lost, I still think anyone's entitled to an off-night. Has anyone seen the documentary "The Little Prince, The Big Fight"? It shows how unfocussed he was, and how sloppy his timing was in training.
Yeah, definitely an off-night. His timing was terrible, his balance was off and he was looking for just one punch all night.
Credit to Emmannuelle Steward for admitting to Merchant during the 11th that he thought Naz was losing - how many trainers would be that honest? I've just seen a featherweight trainer (Scott Harrison's) claim he deserved to win, when it was obvious he'd got a home town decision draw. But back to Naz/Barrera...
Foreman's commentary was particularly annoying here. I loved one moment where he got patronised. "I think that was a left cross." "Well done, George."
