Name me top American fighters from 108-130? that were top 3 while Manny was moving up? Thats right they are either asian or Mexican, now why he isn't fighting them now, no clue, but back then, there weren't any Americans that were able to handle Manny.

We'll for surely know on 11/14. You know what? We won't know because no MATTER how he wins, he is still going to be criticized. If he goes the distance...they kill him. If he stops pacman in 9rds, they say why he took so long. If he beats pacman in 1rd, they'll say not enough to know.....just keep boxing miguel. You got a royal beating from margarito and still went 12rds with 1 eye against a top 5 welterweight. If that means you are past your prime...take it.

Not buying it. He didn't look spectacular against Clottey because Clottey is a freakin beast and his style of fighting is hard to look good against, let alone beat. Plus the nasty cut didn't help.

At first glance 28 is very young for a boxer but you have to look further too the brutal wars Cotto has been in Torres, Judah, Margs come to mind fights like that quickly bring an end to "prime years"

See Morales aswell, saying that though Mosley, Hopkins have been in wars and are still going pretty well but then they never got a beatdown like Cotto did vs Marg. If anything the Marg fight is the biggest thing which has lead to Cotto sliding if you can call it that!

Remeber he only fight Clottey so far since (Jennings don't count!) the cut in that fight could have been the reason for a none to spectacular performance! Also Clottey doesn't make boxers look great could be another factor? might be too early to right Cotto off, we will see November anyway

He fought Jennings after Tony and Tony fought Clottey.

What about from 135 to 147???

                Williams/Mayweather/Mosley/Berto/Bradley/Campbell

Yet he chooses Diaz at LW and weight drained Oscar at 147. I agree with Hatton over Bradley. But now chooses declining Cotto over Mosley/Williams/Mayweather

I dont think people should blindly follow what the Ring publishes, I mean there rankings are the closest to the people's rankings but aside from that its all opinions.

I dont think Cotto's past it and I only think the Margarito fight made him more cautious, because he simply doesnt know if he could get punched that hard by anyone else or if he did have loaded gloves. However Cotto seems fearless and if he keeps on fighting this caliber of opponents I can see him retiring within the next 5 years.

One fighter I can think of that faced the best was DLH and he shouldve probably retired two years ago. I hope Cotto does the right thing

Exactly....VERY good fighter with 2 good eyes went distance with clottey and he did it with 1 eye. You think Mosley, margarito, floyd, pacman would've lasted that long with that bad of a cut? YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA RIGHTTTTTTTT
