Berto is fighting Collazo again right? I think Mosley should go after Williams, if Paul can still make 147.

There has been a lot of discussion on this thread since the last time I posted. I maintain my stance about Mosley's situation. He should give Paul Williams a shot. Berto got a gift decision against Collazo in a lot of people's opinions, so how the hell is he deserving of a fight with Mosley when Paul Williams just white washed Winky Wright. If Paul is willing to make the weight, the fight should happen. And I give Mosley a chance. Even though I beat the drum for these big name fighters to face Paul Williams, it doesn't mean I nuthug him. I just feel like he deserves a shot more than Clottey and Berto.

And one of the reasons I think Mosley can beat him is because Williams has never faced anyone with the kind of punching power that Mosley has even though Williams appears to have a good chin. Mathysse was an unproven South American fighter with a built up record. Margarito was a hard puncher, but how can we say he has more power than Mosley when Mosley totally beat him down? If Williams gets hit flush like he did against Sharmba Mitchell and Verno Phillips, I could see Mosley doing damage to him. Williams has defensive liabilities, and he's not unbeatable like a lot of people make him out to be.

I think the work rate and long wing span of Paul Williams makes him a difficult fight for anybody. But you have to remember that he often gives up his height and fights inside. That would give Mosley some chances to land his bombs. This fight is not the forgone conclusion people make it out to be even though Mosley hasn't expressed too much interest in fighting Paul Williams at the moment. But people thought Mosley ducked Margarito for years, and he proved the critics wrong about being overmatched and destroyed Margarito. Remember that Williams had to get down in the dirt with Margarito, even though it's slightly possible he loaded his gloves against Paul.

Man, f#ck that. Berto-Mosley is a total garbage match up. And this is coming from someone who is a fan of Shane Mosley. Mosley has clinched a lot in his last three fights to sap the other guy's strength and he has used it to impose his will. Berto does it to protect his glass chin. So if you put those two styles together you've got a lame ass fight. And I've mentioned why I don't think Berto is deserving of a shot at Mosley in the least. I'd rather see Mosley move up to Middleweight and fight Kelly Pavlik. Berto is trash, and Mosley wouldn't really get any money out of knocking his pampered ass out. Why don't people on here get it? Williams is the biggest money fight out there for Mosley.

Really the only other fight I'm interested in seeing Mosley take besides one with Paul Williams is against Kelly Pavlik believe it or not. The risk would be worth the reward due to the fan base Kelly brings to the table and it would give Mosley a chance to become the recognized Middleweight champion. I think he poses more danger than Clottey and Berto. But I think he is slightly a more winnable fight for Mosley than Paul Williams. I know Clottey got slighted against Cotto, and he deserves another shot at a big name down the line. But Clottey brought the situation on himself by letting Cotto off the hook in the late rounds. He should've tried harder to stop Cotto fighting at Madison Square Garden. A part of me doesn't really feel all that sorry for Clottey.
