I believe Evan Fields when he says that this was a shoulder issue (that now has healed).

Aside from the Tyson and Bowe fights... any particular fight in your mind?

Moreover this thread is not about "Prime Ali vs Prime Fields".

A lot depends on the referee. I think Ali should win a decision after getting headbutted every time he goes to clinch. Which could be a lot of headbutts if its an after prison Ali.
It would be interesting to see how it played out. Holyfield would frustrate Ali like mad.

Oh, of course. Whatever Wladimir does now is only possible because current division sucks. Whatever Evan Fields did then was possible because he is an ATG.

It's Evan's own fault when he gets beaten up by his opponents.

Remember Kostya, it's all about the median career record of the competition. And oh yeah, KO percentages.

                    4 times a year?
Why is it that I always catch good-old-times-nostalgists spreading falsehoods?

Since Evan turned heavy he has not fought 4 times in a single year.

He has not even fought THREE TIMES in a single year, except his first year as a heavy (1988) and now 2007.

DON'T INVENT STUFF. Evan is LAZY.

And competition like whom? I don't think here are too many who assume that Wlad could lose (like Evan lost) against
                    • Moorer
                    • Ruiz
                    • Toney
                    • Chris Byrd

Instead Wlad beat the man who beat Moorer (Castillo), Wlad beat the man who beat Toney (Sam Peter), and Wlad beat the man who beat Ruiz (Chagaev).

The only debatable win-opponents are Tyson and Rid**** Bowe, with Tyson being too small to pose a danger and Rid**** being too ***** to fight Wlad. Foreman was 42+ years old when Evan beat him, as was Larry holmes.

Is this the competition you talk about?

Oh, I forgot. It's also about the "Heart" and "Ringmanship".

"In the golden past fighters had heart!"

Nostalgists resort to such intangible features like "heart" and "ringmanship" when they have to face the dire reality of ACTUAL RECORDS.

But "Patriotism" is worthless when the country sucks. And "Heart" is worthless when the record sucks.
