Cotto weighed 146 on Saturday. Will 2 more pounds make that much difference? No! You can go for a few large ****s and take a few pounds off. People need to stop whining. They're only whining because they have no confidence in Cotto, that's all it is. With the catchweight, they have a ready made excuse for if he loses.
I did this the other day. I was amazed.

Having said that, if you think the catchweight is no big deal then why not stop the *****footing around and just make it at 147 and erase any doubts??

The crying over 2lbs is for haters. Cotto is going to outweight manny on fight night so what's the problem? A year ago everyone on here would say Manny would get killed in the ring vs. Cotto...now he gets flack for what wanting to level the playing field, by a mere 2 lbs? GTFO. It's not Pac's fault he's taken over the boxing world. If you think 2 lbs is the difference between winning & losing in this fight then don't watch it & don't post about it. Props to both these warriors.

LOL @ level the playing field. Either fight Cotto or fight his cadaver. If its only 2 pounds why does Manny want to lower the weight? Its obviously a big enough deal that they want to make Cotto sacrifice himself.

I don't know maybe because his max weight has been 142. Manny wants the 2lbs so they weigh in at the same number. Pretty simple to me. If a 28 year old Cotto feels 2 lbs is the difference between winning & losing im sure he'd voice an opinion. How many fights do you see where the fighters weigh within 1lb of each other? THE VAST MAJORITY. So this fight is going to fit into the vast majority of weights for fighters. I'm good with that.

I'm no Pac hater LOL. When I watch sports I like seeing the guys I'm rooting for performing to the utmost of their abilities, not beating handicapped opponents. Cotto hasn't fought below 147 in almost 3 years.

147 to erase all doubt, win or lose.
People will have their doubts anyway. The top guys in any sport always get hated on for 1 thing or another, thats just how it goes. Oscar did it to himself. No one asked him to walk around at 150 before training camp. He tried to pick on a small guy & come in small to make it look legit & got his ass whipped for it plain n simple.

Cotto weighed in at 146 for Clottey which was 6 days ago.

As far as erasing all doubt, fack that Pac's playing with house money. You tell me what the odds of a guy are who starts his career at 106 to win a WW title? Im gonna enjoy this ride while it lasts.

He weighed 147 on the night of the fight against Oscar. Most fighters weight the exact same when they weigh in, give or take half a pound under.
