No! Teddy Atlas delivers his kiss of death! NO!

No! Teddy Atlas delivers his kiss of death! NO!

Just now, Teddy Atlas picked Cotto to win.

I am taking back all of my bets!

I hate Teddy Atlas, he is Bad Luck Schleprock.

That Atlas stuff is in the attic along with Tye Fields. Vinny Pazienza is the latest thing.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say, for the most part, I actually agree with Atlas this time. I think Clottey is a tough, good opponent and quite capable of beating Miguel if he's not on his game, but I think even though Cotto's lost the mystique of the pre-margarito era where he seemed possibly the best welterweight in the world, he's mostly still that same fighter.

I'm not sure if he's the same boxer mentally, the Jennings fight didn't show me enough, but I want to think he is. I think Clottey will box well, have his moments where he steals a round or two, but that his pressue won't be steady enough to win the decision.

I'll go further. Not only do I not think Clottey can deliver a consistent enough attack to beat Cotto, I think if Miguel is smart and delivers the body punishment I know he can, he's going to slow Clottey down a huge amount and have a much, much easier night than we expect.

If Cotto can go to the body, despite Clottey being game and able to make a fight of it, I can even seen Cotto ****ing hard enough downstairs that, wading into the late rounds, he can go for the kill; though the decision is just as likely.

Going out on a limb I'll say Cotto TKO10.
