If Cotto and Margarito had a rematch...

Let's not turn this into a flame fest...

If Cotto and Margarito have a rematch, and Cotto wins in a close fight, would you want to see a third match, or would that be enough "validation" that Cotto is the better fighter? And what if Margarito were to win in a close fight?

I think people would still want a 3rd fight for the sake of a rubber match. But depending how close it is, I think people might want to move on after that. Im not a fan of rematches or trilogies that aren't warranted.

if its a close fight we might have to see the rubbermatch. someone has to win conclusively.

if cotto wins, i dont think ppl would want a trilogy. all the ppl want to see is how cotto would fare this time, suspected plaster or not. they'd all conclude then tony cheated in the first fight and leave it at that.

It depends if it was as good and successful as the first fight. Arum knows the controversy will create a lot of attention to begin with.
