He made fights at the higher weight levels of great risks to defy odds & not only as #1 P4P today but to prove the world his name is as synonymous to the Pound 4 Pound...

Furthermore, moving in weight to fight bigger champion was already a risky courageous act w/ the Lightweight Champion David Diaz no matter where Diaz stands among the best lightweights in his division...Other fights executed & won in brutal style w/ much much bigger Oscar at 147lbs. & the IBO Light Welterweight Champion Hatton who was considered undefeated champion at 140 lbs. was to solidify his status to where he stands among the all time greats...

If ever Pacquiao retires right now it doesn't change the fact of where he stands among the all time greats...whoever his next fights & no matter what the outcome is, Pacquiao remains an All Time Great...

Making a lightweight fight at a higher weight he has never fought before. Real P4P heroics right there.

Marquez took the fight because it will be his biggest paycheck to date. Thats about it. Him beating Floyd, IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!

        why would anyone ...?

Why would any boxer fan wanna see moesley vs pac.. This is no interesting fight sporty speaking. A tall guy vs a small guy coming from 108 lbs. Is embarrassing to see all the spectacles the sport have to promote to make a decent amount of $$$. This boxing " sport" can not compete "anymore" with MMA, NBA, MLB, and others and is all because the motherfuc$%#rs duvas, don kings, and others are ruining the sport. This promoters are making this ridoiculus matches just to make a desent amount of $$$. But to the person who knows about boxing and the ones like myself who speak about the sport in every bar, corner or at work and keeps it alive, this matches are nonsense. Like me there are millions that are changing to the mma world. Why can moesley fight Clottey or williams. Aren't they the strongets best welter fighters today? Why he has to choose between cotto, pac or any other not trully welter weight fighter on the top ten list. If he considers himself one of the best then fight the best you chicken shi%. Clottey will beat cotto and I haven't listen anybody given him the respect he deserve and saying they will fight him after he wins. My advice for Clottey; be aware on fight night of the scale they use to weight cotto. He is going to step up over 147 like he have done on previous fights but they will try to cover it. They did the same with Gomez when he fought Nelson (I was ther). Just be aware my friend. Good luck

I don't defend Mayweather at all in his choice of a return opponent in Marquez. JMM is an outstanding fighter but he is a career featherweight/super feather and outsized/outspeeded in FMJ. In my opinion FMJ is weak for this choice and many would agree with that statement. He could have fought any 147 titleholder such as Clottey, Cotto, Mosley. He didn't. Why?

Pacquiao will only take the fight if it's another DLH Zombie fight. He understands it's a trip to ***** Street vs a full 147 Mosley. Roach knows it.
The question you have to ask yourself is this:

What happens when Pacquiao hits Mosley full force FLUSH in the face, and Mosley isn't even remotely hurt by it? Weightdrained or not?

It's called Pacman is face down taking a nap Hatton style.

Fighting Pacquiao as a weight drained carcass could be the wrong fight for Shane too. And if he beat Manny it wouldn't crown a Ring champ at 147, and people would figure Mosley won because he was bigger and stronger than Pacquiao.

Oh wow, I guess you were sleeping during the first half of the Diaz Marquez fight when Diaz was rocking Marquez to the ropes. Then you woke up when your heard Marquez knocked out Diaz.

Whats limited is your knowledge acknowledging this Floyd vs. Marquez fight is even worth viewing. Surprises me how your entertained over the fact that Mayweather is fighting a lightweight. Seriously, a lightweight.

That bums a hater. Figure skating season is over so he now just started watching boxing when he heard Delaquitter was gonna fight Pac. He cracked up his piggy bank, dropped his rolled pennies on Delaquitter, pawned his boyfriends wedding ring and now feels like a fool. He's a hater..!!
