Bob Arum after Mosley vs Mora:
The possibility of a showdown between “Sugar” Shane Mosley and Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao dimmed because according to the Filipino’s promoter, the American fighter is already past his prime.

MANILA, Philippines ?Shane Mosley is willing to stake his WBA welterweight crown if he gets to face Manny Pacquiao even at a catch weight of 144 lb.
“I’ll meet him halfway so we can make the fight,?said Mosley in an exclusive interview aired by NBN-4 sports program Teledyaryo yesterday.
Mosley, the champion at 147 lb, said he’s willing to go down in weight, face Pacquiao on Oct. 17, and stake his crown just to see “who’s the best.?br />
Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, said they’re willing to face Mosley if the latter would agree to go down to 142 lb. Then Mosley said “halfway?could mean 144 lb.
“I can possibly make the weight and feel comfortable. I want to explore that,?said Mosley.
Snow Badua of Teledyaryo asked Mosley if he’d be willing to stake his WBA crown against Pacquiao, and the 37-year-old, 5-foot-9 champion said, “Yeah, definitely.?br />
Mosley also said the purse split shouldn’t be a problem, even if Pacquiao, now the pound-for-pound king, gets more.......
THEN>>>>>>
Mosely said to Roach "You fought Oscar at 147"..........Roach said to Mosely "Your not Oscar"......They didn't want any parts of Mosely.....and at that time........ no one blamed them.

“What I've read is not very supportive to make any Mosley-Pacquiao bout. Look, he’s going to be 40 and he’s in the lighter weights where speed is so important. He’s on a show with guys (example, 20-year-old Saul Canelo Alvarez) old enough to be his son,?Arum told Michael Marley of Examiner.com.
Arum noted that Pacquiao, 31, will most likely not fight an “aging?39-year-old Mosley. Pacquiao has a record of 51-3-2 (with 38 knockouts) while Mosley has 46 wins, 6 losses and 1 draw (with 39 knockouts).
“I read them saying Mosley was huffing and puffing for air in the fourth or fifth round,?stated Arum. “To me, that is the real tipoff for an aging fighter. Even Big George Foreman did that in his 40s but he always had that big, big punch like in the (Michael) Moorer fight.?br />
The Top Rank head honcho even likened Mosley’s situation to that of 45-year-old Bernard Hopkins, who is set to face Jean Pascal in December.
“It’s like Hopkins, he still knows how to fight but who wants to pay to see him now? His fights are not very scintillating. What you see with Hopkins we’re beginning to see with Mosley.?br />
But Arum cleared that he has no bad blood with Mosley.
“I guess Shane needs the money due to his matrimonial situation (a divorce under harsh California community property rules)?I’ve always considered Shane to be a nice guy but this is what happens to fighters when they age,?he said.

This is pretty pathetic ... this was in 2009 right after Mosley beat Margarito in January ... but Floyd fought Mosley 1 full year after this thread was written.
That meant that Mosley didn't fight for about 16 months. That is not good for most people but that is especially true if you are turning 39 years old.
Your hero Floyd said that Mosley was OLD just before fighting him. What, you don't believe your hero Floyd? Don't you Floyd fans believe everything he says?
As for Manny, people were saying that he didn't belong at WW and the Oscar win had just as much to do with Oscar than Manny. So at the time, even team Manny wasn't sure whether Manny could hang at 147. Oscar was supposed to be a one time thing .... but bringing up this thread shows that you guys just don't get it and never will.
Last point is, whatever is said in these forums or elsewhere, the truth is all said in the ring. I stated before the fight that Mosley's age and inactivity may be his downfall but only after the fight can we say with certainty. Then when Mosley never won a fight again and looked bad in them, it makes a theory turn into reality. Now, even Mosley has realized its the end and has retired.

Just shows here the Floydiots are really desperate to see Pac lose since the day the Floyd fight was imminent after Pac destroyed both Oscar and Hatton. The Floydiots because of the jealousy when Pac made Flyod wins pale in comparison against their common opponents like to forget the fact, Pacquiao is a former 106 fighter who just tested the water at 135. Enticed to move up 2 divisions above to fight Oscar at 147 and moved down to 140 against Hatton.
Its natural for Pac team and Arum to protect Pac interest because they don't have a confidence to the FORMER 106 FIGHTER midget Pacquiao against a heavy hitter full pledge welterweights in which is fully understandable to the normal person of thinking except to those ******ed Floydiots who just wanted to see the former 106 Pac get killed by big welterweights or much better by the heavyweights.
