I think Pacqiuao has a lot of Filipino following in America, People who buy his PPV because of who he is in the Philippines so him been a filipino fighter in a foreign country doesnt come into it.
Some of the best PPV seller have alway been foreigners as well from Mexico or Puerto rico.

Mexicans and Puerto Ricans make up a very big portion of the U.S's ********** so of course they'll sell well.
A fighter fighting in his home country will have an advantage when it comes to PPV sells though. America's highest selling fighters have been American.
Tyson
Holyfield
De La Hoya

I don't believe the PPV numbers get better though.
When a lot of people are barely getting by, what makes anyone think they'll have extra cash for a 50 dollar PPV.

if pacquiao was ****y, arrognant, acted like an a$$hole, knew more english, and acted like a bad guy.
He would be just like mayweather, but pac would sell more ppvs. IMO

There should be a douche-bag section on boxingscene for these lame ass discussions. But this is gettin really annoyin to read from Floyd fans...Now seriously, it couldn't be more obvious Floyd only sells when his opponent has a fan base. I mean how many people ordered the Baldomir fight? And for the people who did, would you order a fight like that again???
Floyd v Baldomir - 325,000 PPV buys
Floyd v Judah - 374,000 PPV buys
Floyd v Gatti - 365,000 PPV buys
Floyd v De La Hoya - 2.4 million buys
Floyd v Hatton 900,000 buys
Pacquiao v Morales II - 360,000 PPV buys
Pacquiao v Morales I - 340,000 PPV buys
Pacquiao v Morales III - 350,000 PPV buys
Pacquiao v Barrera II - 350,000 PPV buys
Pacquiao v Marquez II - 400,000 PPV buys
Pacquiao v Hatton 825,000 PPV buys
Pacquiao v De La Hoya - 1.25 million buys
Pacquiao v David Diaz - 250,000 PPV buys
Pacquiao v Solis- Unk but around 125,000 buys is the number

Well thats my point, Filipino's in the USA will buy Pacquiao fight and american would buy is PPV, America doesnt discriminate against a foreign fighter, If they like what they see then they will pay to see you fight.
So again the arguement about Pacquiao being a foreign fighter doesnt come into it because he gets to tap into 2 different markets which is the filipino based in American market and the american market itself.
