Animals (especially predators) normally try to avoid a fight because its not worth the injury. An injury to them could mean not being able to obtain food which means not being able to survive.

It is possible that if Tyson were to have punched that gorilla in the zoo in the nose like he said he wanted too, he could have scared the gorilla off cause he decided it wasnt worth fighting a formidible opponent like Tyson. But In an actual fight to the death, a human isnt really capable of killing a gorilla bare handed and also primates know their weak points and attack other primates weaknesses (genitals, eyes, hands, feet) in fights.. Tyson would break his hand on the gorillas huge thick skull after a few punches and the gorilla would overpower and grasp Tyson, bite off his fingers and gouge his eyes out and bite into his skull and if that didnt kill him the blood loss from all the biting and ripping the gorilla would do would cause him to bleed to death.

This is a likely outcome for the faded 90's version of Tyson.

But if we're talking Prime Mike?

This happens.....

It is possible that the Gorilla may land a ponderous blow or two, but even that is doubtful. Prime Mike slipped his head so well, and was so agile and quick on his feet that he was literally, a "flash" in the ring. (Or jungle, in this case)

If the Gorilla did manage to land on Mike, it would only add fuel to Mike's raging inferno of piss and vinegar. Boiling his blood into a thick, molten pulp.

Tyson would land several vicious blows ot the Gorilla's skull, fracturing it upon impact.

He would then tie he Gorilla up in close quarters and try to break it's arm like he did with Botha.

Only this will be prime Mike.

And the arm will break.

The Gorilla would go into shock, and Mike would be declared the winner.

Faded Tyson even almost broke Botha's arm.

Prime Mike would've shattered it into a bajillion pieces.

And Gorilla bones aren't much different from ours.



Look at that thin humerus, and especially the radius.

It can take anywhere from 8lbs to 550lbs of force to break a human bone, depending on the bone. (I cited the clavical and femus as examples.)

Prime Tyson's punching power was never officially measured.

But you can bet your ass a direct hit is more than enough to break bone, especially a Gorilla's flimsy arm bones.
