Don't drink the Mayweather kool-aid! We should all unite and tell people not to buy this fight. Mayweather needs to fight WW and not LW's.

I want to support boxing as a whole and buy this, but I just can't pull myself to do it. It has nothing to do with personal monetary situation, its just the principle of it.

Besides, homies on Boxden will be hooking this up immediately afterward in at least 720p so it will all be good.

They basically have to make this work. 500 to 600k will be seen as a colossal failure in my opinion.
If it does those kind of numbers, Floyd's bargaining chips will drop big time for future fights
He made a killing off the other two guys, so you are right, this is the true test of what he can bring in.
pac vs hatton did arond 650 k was that a colossoal failure.

floyd, do you want greatness? how about being a champ from 112 lbs. to 140 lbs? have you heard of any boxer at all in boxing's history able to do that? there is, floyd, his name : PACQUIAO!. you wanna be great, floyd, fight and ko the foll.: margarito, mosley, cotto, williams, and not pick on small boys.

Did you see where the writer said that when you see them in the room you can barely see a size difference? Its just pure hate. Floyd fights in the WW division but he's not those other WW's. The numbers prove it

Agreed. Floyd is not a true welterweight. Anyone with more than a three or four year memory concedes this point. I think people simply want him to pick a division and start clearing it out. He's setteld at 147 for the past few fights, so that's where they want him to begin. I mean, he states time and again that he's the best, fans just want to see him attempt to prove it.

I don't know that you have to drink 'Kool-Aid' to be excited for this fight. Marquez is smaller, true, but he's a pound for pound fighter. Floyd Mayweather- our previous best in the sport is back and it'll be interesting to see how the lay-off treats him.

Like I've said, if Marquez looks dwarfed in the fight, I'll call what we're all worried about in the size difference. If he makes a good fight of it, though, why would I detract from that by getting stuck on Marquez being smaller? I'll wait for fight night.

I'm not expecting a legendary battle, but I'm not disinterested, either. It'll be nice to see Floyd back in the ring.

I think this fight will do well. I dont really care about numbers or any of that.

But I have friends that dont even watch boxing let alone name anyone other than Mayweather (actually they either say Mayweather or that dude that talks a lot of **** that knocked out that euro bum)...

Anyway point is Mayweather is known to even people that are not fans of the sport. These people tend to buy fights like this. People that dont normally watch the sport but are willing to fork over the cash to watch a big name fighter.

Some just want to watch and see if the **** talker backs up what he says. They are not so much of a fan or hater they just want to see what its all about.

Anyway i'm always one for buying anything. I buy a lot of PPV ****. But I'm the guy that has major "PPV Parties" who charges 10 bucks at the door for a red party cup and unlimited beer from the keg(s) not to mention the 60 bucks for HI-DEF PPV. I tend to make out, as I do with bets. Nothing better than betting people who haev money that dont know the sport! lol SUCKAAAAS...

But love'em or hate'em people will buy... IMO even if this fight does ****ty as far as PPV numbers go. Mayweather and Pac will happen..... Its funny because people wont mention how Floyd is fighting the "smaller" guy again until he beats him. Then that will come up and people will talk there ****. O well...

I don't get it. About three weeks ago there was a poll asking the posters here whether they'd buy the fight, the majority said yes. Now when a new thread shows up, many are saying no. :S

People are on the fence whether they should buy it or not...whether they want to watch it, that's another story.

I'm gonna' find out where I can watch it, but there is NO way I'm paying $60 to watch this, though. I have the money...it's just that...dammit...sixty dollars?!

BTW, I don't care if I get ridiculed later on...I think this fight might be closer than it's being predicted. The same thing happened with Pac/DelaHoya...then Pac/Hatton...Mosley/Margarito...

I'm banking on Floyd winning, but I don't think it'll be a flat-out embarrassment for Marquez or a shutout. Floyd's been out, that's the small thing in the back of our heads.

No need to give my hard earned money to some punk who can't budget 50 million dollars. Why should I help finance this ******* and his flamboyant, LIFE STYLE flashy attitude. I hope his next check burns a larger whole in his pocket than the last one did. Fhuk him and his boat.
