The only two fighters Floyd face with a fast stiff jab was Judah and DelaHoya. Once they stopped jabbing Floyd took over. Floyd has great stamina and speed. Just watch those two fights and see yourself. Is he gonna fight somebody like that can sustain an attack like that, maybe Pac, but I'm not convinced yet. Whitaker took all comers including #1 ranked fighters and other great challenges that came his way.
There's nothing to support mayweather ever fighting the guys on this so called hitlist until the fights get signed. floyd afterall is the one who makes more excuses/contradictions as to why he picks & chooses certain fights. When a contract is signed we'll talk about it, til then he is going to beat on a lightweight.
A source with direct knowledge of his deal with Golden Boy Promotions told ESPN.com that Mayweather's deal is for five fights.
Ellerbe made Mayweather's plans after Marquez a bit more clear.
"I can tell you this right now that we're gonna line all these guys up, whoever the so-called best guys are, whoever they say they, and we'll line up," he said. "Obviously, he can't fight them all in one night. But one by one, so whoever it is. He left the best, he's coming back the best. All roads lead to Floyd Mayweather."
Besides Pacquiao and Cotto, difficult bouts to make because of Mayweather's terrible relationship with Top Rank's Bob Arum, his former promoter, there is also Mosley.
"Mosley had a good win with [Antonio] Margarito," Ellerbe said. "We can't fight him right now, but he's one of the top fighters. We recognize he's one of the top fighters. He can get it too."
Ortiz? He is too inexperienced for Mayweather. By the time he is elite, he still won't be a big enough draw for Mayweather, who will probably retire --for real.
I agree..instead of ORTIZ, maybe ANDRE BERTO VS FLOYD JR.
