A truly ATG thread of this site that should be bumped for an eternity.

Floyd read out his hitlist, the naysayers laughed it off, he beat every name on his hitlist and still the naysayers cry.

Floyd's win over Corrales is better than all of those to be honest.

Diego Corrales was in his prime.

And he crossed every name off of that list. Who would have thought Miguel Cotto would be the toughest fight on the list? That power jab had Floyd rethinking things at times.

This thread should be renamed "Receipts ".

unless you think he is a black highlander lol....he is older than all those guys except mosley. Marquez was older as well.

when he came back in 09 he was 32 and like 40 fights in a pro career

kill the excuses.....if mayweather and cotto fought in 05-07, Cotto would have got ruined, thats why when they were both under top rank, bob arum wasnt dumb enough to put them in the ring together

Cotto and his team looked spooked the way he embarrased his stablemate Brusles and back then, pretty boy floyd was knocking Mfers out and battering guy....2005 is prime mayweather not 2015 dont act like a guy in his late and mid 30s is prime

not the old guy in his 30s potshotting and being slick
Age is not the single defining factor in a fighters prime. Some fighters last longer than others and that's just the truth. I have never said Mayweather was in his prime in 2015.

What excuses? The facts are that none of the guys he mentioned he wanted to fight were in their prime when he fought them or anywhere near really.

They were all good fights and great that they happened, but they didn't happen when they were supposed to.

You honestly think when he made that list his plan was to "cherry pick" them? He fought all of them precisely when the other side agreed to his terms. Coincidence? Blame Pacquiao for not accepting the terms earlier. It would've made for a more exciting fight...

None of them other than Ortiz and arguably Pacquaio were in their prime when he made the hitlist though.

He didn't make the list in 2001.

                      It's not true though.

He made the "list" in 2009 and it was a list of 5 fighters.

His next 4 fights were fighters from the list and 5 years later all 5 names were beaten.

It's obviously a case of "eating crow" for the many people who laughed it off in this thread.
