It's a never ending cycle, Canelo will never fight Trout or Lara, and Cotto will never fight Canelo. It all reached new heights when many people believed Garcia was scared of Matthysse. At some point people gotta realize that the kind of the fear that would prohibit one from facing said-opponent is almost nonexistent. How can one claim to be a fan of the sport whilst accusing many, especially top fighters of being scared? I've never understood that.

This thread only exposes how shitty boxing fans can be, dickheads.

Lol when the books are written and people look back with less emotion they are going to realize just how ridiculous the public perception towards mayweather actually was
Not really. Whether you like it or not, it's pretty much common sense that he ducked half of those guys in their primes.

Him fighting Manny in 2015 doesn't change the criticisms he drew from 2009-2014 when he ducked him all the years before. Same with Cotto and Mosley. He would've beat all those guys anyway if he fought them in him prime but it's pretty obvious (and it really was obvious) that a lot of his major fights happened way too late when they were makeable well before then.

Because that's the ONLY reason that the fight held up so long (to which I never once said Pac didn't have a fault. Reading is your friend).

If he hadn't run away from testing, the fight would've happened in 2010. It's nobody's fault but Manny's it didn't happen then. Open and shut case.

Not really "shut case". I understand Manny played a big part of it not happening early on, but Floyd clearly made it much more difficult the last 4 years when he really didn't need to. Just because Manny made it difficult for like a year doesn't mean Floyd's last years suddenly didn't happen.

And even then, Floyd literally just had to wait 1 day to fight Manny and chose not to so he can announce to fight a 135 Marquez (who he didn't do PED testing with FWIW). All the guy literally had to do was wait 1 day when Pac KOed Hatton and his next fight would've been Manny that September 2009 (the same September Floyd fought no problem without PED testing).

This thread could be exhibit A in the Floyd cant win argument. Whatever Floyd does he's cherry picking the guy he's fighting & running scared from some one else. If he fights the guy he was allegedly running scared from in his last fight now thats a cherry pick cuz his prime ended 6mos ago.

As great a fighter as Floyd was he was even greater at getting people so negatively emotionally invested in him. He's without question in the top 3 of greatest "villians" in boxing with Jack Johnson & young Muhammad Ali.

Not sure what the Marquez fight has to do with any of this, but Manny ran away from negotiations, and the fight didn't happen then as a result.
