Whether its because of Roach teaching him to counter punch or its because of Manny's experience fighting Morales and Marquez, Pacquiao can now counter punch.

    Example 1: Counterpunching the Counterpuncher

Pacquiao faked a jab and as soon as Marquez started countering with a left hook, Pacquiao ducked and threw a huge left of his own. Perfect. Common during Pacquiao's sparring session but rare during his actual fights.

    Example 2: Backpedal Counterpunching

When Marquez moves forward, Pacquiao backpedals for a counterpunch.

    Example 3: Right Hook Counterpunching

In past interviews, Pacquiao said he practiced counter-punching (during Diaz, De la Hoya, Hatton training). So By the time he reaches Hatton, it was so automatic, that when Hatton telegraph his left punch, Pacquiao countered with his right hook roll under move, EVEN BEFORE HATTON PUNCH.

That's almost the same move with Marquez only in reverse. This means only one thing, Pacquiao can now counter punch with both hands.

lol, the first vid pac totally didn't know where his left hand was gonna land.

i'll be the first to admit that pac has significantly improved. that hes shown discipline in his repetoire. he doesn't fight in wild punches like he always did, but instead collects himself and actually boxes. but if you pay close attention he still has the tendacy to throw wild punches. which leaves him open for clean and precision shots i.e JMM. This is all evident if you play close attention to how he fought Hatton in the first round and how he fought Hatton in the second round.

Watch it. JMM threw 3 consecutive punches while Pac backpedaling to avoid it. The last punch after JMM missed it Pac countered it with his right hook then the jumping back and forward or you watch the Morales fight when Pac knocked him down while backpedaling.

Please watch the Hatton fight example #3. Its an exact replica how he timed that move but instead he used his right hand. The famous words from Hatton's mouth..."right hook roll under" lol!

I agree with this post...Pacman has improved greatly, but that first clip, although very effective, I don't think Pac new where it will land, I think he threw a counter...and just happend to catch Marquez flush. He does still have a tendancy to leave himself open.

Pacquiao made Marquez miss 3 times before countering. All of this while moving backwards.

Pac knows where it will land. It's a punch that he practiced over and over again at the gym.
