Chad Dawson Hoping Joe Calzaghe Returns To Boxing

After two dominating decision wins over Antonio Tarver, IBF light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson is hoping for two fighters in particular to accept his challenge. Dawson made his HBO debut by outpointing Tarver on Saturday night in Las Vegas. The fight was the first of a two-fight deal with the network. He hopes the second will come against Bernard Hopkins or the recently retired Joe Calzaghe. [details]

Calzaghe should just come back, he'd easily beat Dawson. I don't even hate on Calzaghe anymore but if he did this, it'd be something to retire on.

Don't have to read the article to know Dawson is a gentleman, and he probably does deserve a fight when compared to the likes of trash-talkers like Froch and so on. But I'm going to read the article anyways to make sure my assumption is right.

He doesn't deserve it, I mean we all saw Glen Johnson beat him

Dawson would be murdered by Calzaghe. Why want him back? I understand that Chad is a solid prospect, but after seeing him sort of sloppy against Tarver last night, I just dont see him beating Calzaghe.

I'm a calzaghe fan but atleast Dawson got in the ring with Johnson. Some people believe Hopkins beat Calzaghe. How can anyone fight over close matches?

Dawson doesn't talk bad about either fighter in this article, he just repeats what Hopkins said before on why he wouldn't fight him. I can't see neither Calzaghe or Hopkins taking that fight, Dawson should challenge a SMW to come up and fight him, unless Johnson makes more $en$e.

                  Calzaghe would destroy Dawson.

Anything is better than retiring with hanging your hat on Jones Jr. Go beat up Froch for fun or something Joe, just stop making a mockery of your career. Kessler is even hurting that resume right now having not been in a meaningful fight since. IMO he's going to have to fight one more time to really cement anything for himself. Historians are going to be brutal to him despite HOF credentials.
