    Pacquiao vs Mayweather will captivate the world

    Mayweather would be more than happy to portray every greedy, arrogant, brash american stereotype in the book. This will garner Pacquiao several million more supporters from all over the world. The fight will captivate the entire world. Tens of millions of people tuning in to see if the humble champion will be able to shut up the ****y american who claims he is the greatest fighter of all time.

    It's not just good for boxing...It'll be excellent television.

    I honestly think Mayweather vs Pacquiao will beat Mayweather vs De La Hoya in PPV buys, and I am talking by quite a bit.

      Agreed. Great drama and damn good for boxing.

      Right up until Floyd gets on his bike for 12 rounds,
      and the paying crowds scratch their heads, asking
      "where's the mega-fight?"

          This would be the biggest fight ever.

          The storyline for this fight, already, is absolutely fascinating.

            this will probably be the storyline

            floyd = villian
            pac = hero

            floyd don't care as long as he gets paid

              I agree, this would be the most highly anticipated summit meeting since ODLH vs. Tito, maybe even moreso considering that Mayweather and Pacquiao are higher classes of fighters and PPV figures in their own rights.

                Biggest fight in the PPV era, by numbers. It should reach the level of hype that Tyson-Holyfield got in the general public. But it's no Rumble in the Jungle or Louis vs Schmeling.

                  Are you kidding? Pacquiao already is the Joe Louis and Barrack ***** of his country combined. Everytime he wins a fight the entire country celeberates the way harlem celebrated when Louis beat Schmeling.

                  Arum is a smart enough promoter to exaggerate the drama that is already there enough to make it US. vs the world. with the rest of the world pulling for Pacquiao to beat the evil american.

                  I think it would be even bigger if somehow Floyd became nationalistic himself....carrying the american flag....n get some of that "this is america...we kick ass and take names...if you dont like it then leave" crowd behind him as well.
