I remember after the Hatton fight Mayweather said he would like to take about 2 years off from fighting, then he retired and returned a little shy of two years later. I kind of think that since he has been at welterweight he kind of cherry picked his opponents or waited for the right time to take on top fighters. If you think about it his top competiton and the fights everyone wanted to see were Cotto, Margartio, Mosley, or even De La Hoya II. If he waited two more years both De La Hoya and Mosley would be older and slowed down and by not fighting Cotto or Margartio they both had potential to take on another hard opponent and get beat which they both did. Now that all of those have happened he is back. I personally hate floyd the person but I love floyd the fighter. Do you think this is coincidence or he did this for reason?

I don't think he's gonna fight Mosley period. Mosley turned him down. Then Floyd turned him down. Then Floyd said no again.
Cotto may have lost but he's still in his prime and top 2 at 147. A fight with Floyd is still possible
Oscar retired...and only Margarito fans thought he posed a threat to Floyd. Paul Williams gave Margarito a boxing lesson standing toe-to-toe...

You make a good point cause before the hatton fight he talked all kind of **** and made fun of him the whole time, after the fight he was respectful to Hatton and the brits in general and the next day called him to congradulate him on a good fight.
