Miguel Cotto WOULD Go DOWN On WEIGHt To FIGHT PAQUIAO!!!!

Miguel Cotto has always said he wont shy away from a combat and Manny Pacquiao wouldn't be the exception. Not even the weight would be a big obstacle.

After ensure everyone all his focus is at the preparation to defend his title against Joshua Clottey on june 13 on MSG, "Junito" Cotto restated yesterday that he doesn't have a problem with the possibility of making a fight against the Filipino Pacquiao, just as publically stated by Bob Arum, president of the promotion company of both, Top Rank.

Another question was if the recent Pacquiaos victories make him afraid of him.

"Not at all". We will go prepared as we have done in the past, like we have done to all our fights.A boxer with good movement and good defense, will give him problems, just like Erik Morales did on their first fight". Recall Cotto referring to the UD that Morales got against Pacquiao back on march 2005.

Cotto is willing to down in weight and challenge Manny.

That would be a bad idea, the weight definitely affected him even when he was fighting there, and now that he's gotten used to 147 one can expect the effect to be even greater.

It would be a good fight but i would rather see pac fight the winner of Floyd-Marquez. I also think pac, cotto and floyd is avoiding Shane.

How come Cotto never showed interest in fighting Mayweather, like he does for Pacquiao.
