defensive, boxed and used the ring against Baldomir and Oscar De La
Hoya because they had like 16 pounds on him and were definitely taller
so he fought smart and won in a defensive, countering stance. I see
when people critique Floyd it is aways in reference to them two fights.
Floyd has a style for everyone he fights and if the posts were accurate
about Floyd I wouldn't have to keep debating. Don't know if I can say
that JMM is better than Phillip Ndou or Demarcus Corley because they
were/are definitely bigger punchers than JMM. Phillip Ndou was called
before Floyd fought him " A Knock out specialist" who record was
31-1 with 30 KO's and Floyd fought a completely offensive fight
and TKO'd him in the 7th. The fight was stopped by the Referree
but before his corner was about to stop it. Corley hits harder
than Marquez and is naturally bigger. Mayweather served them!!
Come on my man, Get it right.

Hypocrite? I hear more excuses about Mayweather's wins, opponents
and accomplishments and plenty of bias posts all the time on here and
everywhere else. The only reason why I'm always defending Mayweather
is not only cause I'm a fan but I find it funny how people dilute the truth
to come up with their own accusations about the man when the truth
is right there and has been documented. I posted things about Mosley
and NO one ever replies?
As far as Mosley goes, you seem to have a problem with him as a fighter, kind of similar to how I feel about Mayweather. I never dispute Mayweather's talent however as a fighter. I simply don't like his style, his constant praise of himself, and his better than you mentality. Part of the reason I like Mosley is because he is a humble champion and doesn't resort to cherry picking fights(until RECENTLY, I highly disagree with his choice in fighting Pacquiao) unlike Mayweather, who is highly known for cherry picking his fights since oh about 2003.
Until Floyd takes some risks and fights people he can possibly lose to, he's not getting any respect as an all time great from me or anyone else who doesn't worship the ground he walks on.

I think this one is going to go 12, and it's going to be a chess match. But JMM will have to knock him out (not likely) if he's gonna win, cause a close hard fought battle isn't gonna cut it. There's no way the powers that be will let anything get in the way of the big money fight that is PBF vs Pac.
And if Floyd does "hand his ass to him," (also not likely, this one's going the full 12) it's a moot point. However, I think JMM gives Floyd a tougher fight than Pac will.Last edited by Doc Holliday; 05-05-2009, 08:38 PM.

in floyd's last couple of fights, his activity has gone down.
even against hatton, he was more accurate than busy. hatton is not a big cat for floyd and floyd should've wrecked him like he did sharmba.
hopefully its just cause he's been fighting bigger men. if floyd has slowed down, jmm has a remote chance, cause jmm is the best combiniation puncher today imho.

I have NO problem with Mosley......

that he ducked Floyd and no one pays any attention to that.
Here is my repost from a previous thread and hopefully THIS TIME.
Someone responds to it........
March 9, 2007
"I will help Oscar out and keep myself in shape as well," Mosley said. "I'm probably the closest thing fighting to Mayweather right now, so it will be a good advantage for Oscar to work with me. I will get some fight tapes and study Mayweather and his style. I will be able to imitate him and help Oscar dismantle Mayweather." De La Hoya is already in camp and didn't want to discuss it, but the idea
was hatched a few months ago when Golden Boy matchmaker Eric Gomez, also one of De La Hoya's best friends, was trying to come up with a list of possible sparring partners.
"I had discussions with Oscar about who can help him because there really isn't anyone out there that fights like Floyd," Gomez said. "He's the best technician in the game and he has the combination of speed and technical skills. It kept popping into my mind that the closest to him was Shane. So, I told Oscar that I had come up with the best possible sparring partner."
"I will try not to make it competitive. I don't want it to be competitive," Mosley said. " This is for Oscar's benefit. I will not try to outshine Oscar because this is not about me. I'm going to do what I can do to imitate Mayweather. I will make it difficult for Oscar to hit me, like Mayweather will."
Do you really think Floyd was scared of Shane? Mosley tried to imitate
PBF to help Oscar and failed? For the full article go here:

will down then takes them out like he was doing against Zab
Judah and Ricky Hatton. Slowly discouraging them then taking
them apart. Speed is definitely good but when you are as accurate
as Floyd and fast too, then you will always have a shot if you come
to the ring with your A game. JMM is very good but he is open for
the flush power shot and has tasted the mat on several occasions
and with Floyd's counter punch accuracy & speed JMM could be
going to sleep early if he's not careful.
