Oscar De La Hoya has dismissed the odds of the Las Vegas bookmakers and predicted a win for Ricky Hatton against Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night.
The Filipino southpaw dominated the Golden Boy over eight rounds in December - a bout which turned out to be De La Hoya's last.
But, despite that defeat which has caused the bookmakers to make Pacquiao the favourite for the super-fight, De La Hoya is confident Hatton will remain king of the light-welterweight division.
"I think the idea for Hatton would be to pressure," De La Hoya told Sky Sports News. "Pressure Manny Pacquiao because he does not like pressure. If you study his past fights he does not like pressure.
"If you take a look at Erik Morales when he fought him at 135 pounds and he felt strong, he pressured Manny and he didn't like it.
"As long as he can do that and as long as he can control him with his jab. I'm pretty sure Floyd Mayweather Snr will have him using that jab at least 30 or 40 times a round.
"It's going to be interesting because obviously when he fought me I was not a solid primed welterweight I was a drained weak can't-throw-any-punches kind of fighter so it's going to be very interesting.
"Ricky Hatton is the real deal. Ricky Hatton is the overall package and he has all round good skills. He's very aggressive, he's strong, he's fast and he has the ability to win. It'll be a win."
