Yea, I admit they don't fight alike besides the southpaw stance. But the point was, Ricky never backed down against the much bigger man and was very limited defence wise in that fight. Ricky just doesn't back down and will not in this fight against the smaller guy. Sure he will get hit on the way in, but when doesn't he? Also, I think he will be improved defensively - maybe not vastly, but there will be some improvement there after another 12 weeks with Floyd Snr.

I do agree though, the moment Ricky starts to back down and fight on the outside, its pretty much over for Ricky.

Manny is NOT good at fighting on the back foot, FACT. He can skip around sideways, but what good is that gonna be when Hatton continuely tracks him down and cuts the ring off?

How is Manny gonna get into his in/out rhythm if Hatton is constantly moving forward, whilst throwing bombs? It's not gonna happen. He has to fight on the backfoot in this fight.

People saying that Ricky will be on the backfoot, obviously don't know much about Ricky. He respects NOONE'S power. He knows only one way and that's forward. Name me one fight where Ricky has fought on the backfoot, even against the bigger guys - guys alot bigger than Manny - he took shots flush and just kept on coming.

Great ****ing post...Ive never seen Hatton take a backwards step....

      He comes foward...period.

Manny will have to fight going backwards..and from what I ear about him koing partners...roach is not getting this kid the right kind of work.

                Yes...

That means Pacs power is getting to him........

But I dont see it happening...but if Pac is stalking Hatton..the fight is over for Ricky.

Thats a tough question to answer......

But when we seen Floyd at 140 pounds....he hit hard...he was knocking people the **** out.

Yea, we're only gonna know for sure on the night - anything can happen in boxing. Main points for me though, regarding Manny:

-Can he withstand Ricky's power shots, especially to the body?

-Can he fight effectively on the inside and going backwards?

-Can he actually hurt Ricky when Ricky's coming in?

If the answer to these is yes, then Manny has a great chance to win. IMO though, at Ricky's best weight class and with Ricky being more improved defensively and technically than ever before, the chances aren't great for Pac.

Whatever, it's clear you have made up your mind and won't listen to anyone elses opinion. We'll just see what happens on Saturday.
