that lifetime of bad habits has him with only 1 loss compared to manny's 3. They cant be that bad, can they?

Its not the British boxing journalists that are claiming he will be P4P#1 its just the media in general and the ****** arse 'casual' fans. British boxing journalists and British boxing experts understand clearly that he wont be P4P#1, ask Barry McGuiganRicky, his casual fan base and ****** 'news at ten' journalists that cant even pronounce Pacquiao are the only ones that believe he will be P4P#1

McGuigan is a proper boxing expert, but he's not really a journalist.Last edited by Dave Rado; 04-29-2009, 03:08 AM.

Just using win/loss stats to argue that Hatton doesn't have bad habits doesn't work. First, Pac has fought much better competition than Hatton, much more if you consider the fact that Pac fought these better fighters multiple times each. Also, no matter how good Hatton's record may be, doesn't change the fact that he has bad habits in which he admitted when he first hooked up with Mayweather Sr. and now proclaims he is a completly new fighter. So see, your point is just ridiculous because your hero admitted the fact and my argument was whether it would be still there on May 2nd.
With that said, Pac's two (KO) losses came when he was 17 and 21 years old. In his first loss it is already known that he was even underweight in the lightest possible weight class and he lied about his age (he wasn't 18). But you wouldn't include that in your comment because it wouldn't support your side would it? Hatton lost by KO after being dominated the whole fight, in his prime. Yea, yea it was to the p4p king at the time, but since you left out the fact that Pac was a malnutritioned teenager in his first loss and still an inexperienced youngster in his second loss, why don't we leave that fact about Hatton's loss also?

True boxing fans, not daily star/sun reader types know fine well hatton aint gonna p4p no.1 and to be honest I think Hatton must know it too. The big problem is; if hatton does pull off the upset we'll have to deal with the casual fight fan proclaiming Hatton is p4p the best fighter in the world.
While on this topic of an upset: I have it like this - if hatton beats pacquiao - marquez takes the top spot. if the fight with marquez/mayweather goes ahead and mayweather beats marquez does Mayweather reclaim the p4p spot?? - after 18 months of inactivity and by winning a supposed "tune up" fight???
Back to the NEW Hatton.
Its good that Hatton actually believes in himself and his "new" boxing abilities but as we all know - if things dont work out within the first 4 - 5 rounds he'll quickly revert back to his old ways which he as now openly admitted that Pacquiao would beat.
I've read the posts about Hattons "new" jab his way in approach (one poster even comparing it to tyson) but I just think it wont work as Pacquiao is gonna constantly be on the move keeping the fight in the middle of the ring and turning hatton, from the short clips i've seen of Pacman training i think there ultimate goal is not to engage in any inside fighting if possible - which eventually will have Hatton reverting to his hold/maul push to the rope while hitting routine... also remember pacquiao is faster than hatton therefore he should beat hatton to the punch every time (even if hatton compares himself to a little whippet!!)

Hatton seriously thinks he is renewed under Mayweather after 1 fight. The man is overconfident but everything gets thrown out the window when he gets in that ring with Pacquiao who will bring it too him. Hatton has never adjusted well against fast fighters who can mix it up.
