Should Taylor have taken a knee?

Alot of us give cotto & his fans hell about him taken a knee against tony. but if JT would have taken a knee instead of taking that punishment on the ropes think he wouldve made it to the bell?

think about with 15-20 sec left. a knee wouldve used up at least 10-15 sec. 8-9 sec on a knee & bout 3-5 sec the ref asking him if he is ok. the rest of the time he could ran b/c froch wouldve been on the other side of the ring.

going into the 12r taylor was up 106-102. with the kds taylor wouldve still been up 113-112.

so in this case would a knee have been smart or ***** move?

    It would've been a ***** move.

A Demarcus Corley, Zab Judah, and Miguel Cotto type ***** move.

Yep...take a knee and make it, what, a 10-7 round? Great way to avoid the knockout so you can lose the decision. What were the cards going into the 12th?

It's almost as disgraceful as picking up your leg to avoid further punishment to the body after getting nailed with a hard body punch.

          Taylor still would have won

          106-102 on two scorecards...

if round 12 was a 10-7 round... he still would of won a split decision 113-112 on 2 cards

in hindsight it would've been a good move cause he'd have won the fight.... but in public opinion he'd be hated because the scores were so skewed.

            honestly i'm glad froch won.

It's always smarter than getting ko'd unless you know it will cost you the fight which means you are going to have to stand up and take that chance.

Oh hellllllll naww. Jermain Taylor is my favorite active fighter, I'm glad he went out on his shield without getting seriously hurt. Taking a knee? nah man, no knee takers allowed in my faves list(except for Judah)

Taylors class, he would rather go out on his feet than on his knee's like a ***** and take a points victory.

Haha so funny. Again most Mayweather fans will say "Cotto is a coward, Judah is smart." I'll bump it again if you want to get to the heart of this matter.
