Did Calzaghe and Hopkins Legacies take a slight tumble tonight?

Did Calzaghe and Hopkins Legacies take a slight tumble tonight?

We all know styles make fights, but an average fighter like Froch disposing of a decent version of Taylor?

Calzaghes claim to fame is beating a guy who Taylor beat twice years earlier.

We all know styles make fights, but there is some truth in there in what I say...

Tonights result raises a small questionmark about both Joe and Hopkins.

No, not in my opinion. Let's give some credit to Froch for showing his heart.

No it didn't. Jermaine Taylor isn't the same fighter he once was, but Froch should get some respect.

No, and I have this sick feeling Froch's next fight will be against Hopkins.

Not Hopkins. You can argue he beat Taylor at 40 and was finally weight drained at middleweight after that long reign and it explains his abysmal low punch output in those fights. After seeing him at LHW, I don't see how Hops doesn't beat Taylor handily.

Why would Calzaghe's dip? By triangulation/association?

By being his best win (an aged version) getting beaten years earlier by a guy who got beaten by a limited fighter in Froch.

Sure it wasn't the best version of Taylor but you have to ask questions about how good he really was.
