Cuban Amateur Gold Medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux pro-debut May 22 on ESPN2!

Probably the most anticipated pro debut in boxing for the last decade or so will be May 22nd on ESPN 2. Guillermo Rigondeaux from Cuba has been he best pound for pound amateur boxer in the last decade can;t wait to see him fight in the pros.

Yes!!! I was waiting to hear when this guy would fight, he is going to tear the boxing world up.

I'm looking forward to this, the man was a great amateur, I'm very interested in how he'll do as a pro.

Yeah, well it would have been good if it was ten years ago but sadly he's already about thirty years old so it will be really difficult for him to adjust fully to the pro ranks and by the time he does he will be too old for anything great to happen. If only......

Rigondeaux is 28, but I believe he has been inactive since 2007, when he tried to escape during the PanAms.
