An elderly British gentleman of 83 arrived in Paris by plane.

At the French immigration desk, the man took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry-on bag.

"You have been to France before, Monsieur?" the Immigration officer asked, sarcastically.

The elderly gentleman admitted he had been to France previously.

"Then you should know well enough to have your passport ready."

The British gentleman says, "The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it."

"Impossible. The British always have to show their passports on arrival in France!"

The elderly gentleman gave the French Immigration Officer a long hard look.

Then he quietly explained;

"Well, the last time I was here, I came ashore on Juno Beach on D-Day in June 1944, and I couldn't find any ****ing Frenchmen to show it to."

Because it's not a cut and dried issue. this is a POLITICAL issue and politics are like religion people have their own biases and never change their feelings on it.

Let's say you have a rare form of cancer that needs a very unique operation. You're probably better in a country like America that through it's money grab system will attract the best specialists to the most money (capitalism). This system doesn't work out as well for the extremely poor.

If you are poor and have a chronic incurable disease like diabetes and need constant treatment, meds, checkups and support for the rest of your life, the socialized free system would be better.

Again there are merits to either. Only and idiot has an angry opinion about something THEN finds research to back up his biases.

I'm not saying either is better than the other.

What you are trying to profess is that America has the best doctors in the world and that is why it isn't free...I don't know who told you that but they need shooting....twice...in the face.
