its not like they played the german anthem for example between povetkin-estrada or klitschko-thompson, i don't think they did so why should they play the american anthem? I don't see who would apriciate it if they did except for maybe a dozen americans in the arena, like 95% of the people there will be filipino or brittish. anyway I think the american anthem deserves to be booe'd if they play it, you yanks are a bunch of xenophobic brit-haters anyway.

why don't they play it in germany when none of the boxers is german then? and somehow I don't think they played Zaire's national anthem when ali and foreman met. The Us seems to be the only country that plays their anthem when none of the fighters are from there.
