Arum will be like alright Miguel, sign an extension and you have Pacquiao.

The good part about this is that it could lead to a Cotto/Mayweather fight.

Floyd/JMM winner(Floyd) vs. Pac/Cotto winner(Cotto). And we have our dream match.

Arum is such smart business guy. He knows Pac's fighting max two more fights after Hatton. So he's serving up his biggest cash cow to his second biggest cash cow to make Cotto, who is the future, a bigger star. It makes sense.
yup. if cotto beats pac. he's in a good position for floyd.

there's no one left at 135. after marquez did juan in , no money fights there.

after hatton , no other 140 guy is any money.

the money is in a third with marquez at 140 (for pac's lineal 140 title. ) or at 147 (where EVERYONE , floyd included , is too big for pacquiao)
Agreed! Pac is good but sometimes being good wont get you passed a much bigger guy that is just as good or more than likely even better.... (Cotto/Mayweather)

When Pac "DESTROYS" Hatton he should then face JMM.....

Mayweather VS Cotto would be the fight of the ages if Cotto beats Clottey....

the thing that pisses me off about that though , reed........

roy fought EVERYONE at 175 , yet he doesn't get credit because those guys were unknown.

a good promoter would have been able to hype up those guys and make those fights seem like incredible wins.

Yup... I still use this post you made, when people bring up the fact Roy never fought anyone...

Pacquaio ould beat that ass bad. dont put Cotto in there with him, Cotto gets hit alot and Pacquaio would disect him. Cotto would have a punchers chance but thats about it. Cottos not beating Clottey anyways so who cares, ARUM IS A *****!!

i think if the fight is proposed, roach would demand a catchweight of 143... and cotto aint gonna budge from 147. i think this fight doesn't happen

That's a good point. Actually that's probably just end of story haha.

Cotto needs Pac more than Pac needs Cotto. But being how Cotto is, there aint no way he'll agree to fight at 147. Plus, I'm not sure how serious Roach will be about fighting him. He'll probably do that just to low ball him hoping Cotto says no.

It's looking like they may make this fight. It'd be a great fight, that's for sure.
