i don't understand how guys that are okay with floyd-pac are not okay with cotto-pac.

cotto is a bit thicker than floyd but it's not like he's marg or paul sized welter.

cotto and floyd are both small welterweights. if manny can win at junior welter and be 140 champ.

what's wrong with a 140 guy fighting for a 147 belt against cotto?

it's a win-win for manny. if he loses to cotto , so what? doesn't hurt his legacy.

all things being equal, cotto at his best vs. pacman at his best = cotto wins....
the only way cotto loses, is if he's injured, sick, or under some other condition that doesn't allow him to be 100%......

if the fight is at 140, cotto will blow up overnight anyways.....

i beg to disagree with you this time. i believe manny has a better chance against miguel than floyd even at 147. manny can exploit cotto's sluggishness. Floyd is too sleek to get hit and have superior defense. I opined sometime ago that Team Pacquiao will probably opt for a cotto/mosley fyt than with floyd. Manny is chasing more glory, another belt at legitimate 147 will cement his boxing legacy. besides, floyd has no hardware to offer?.my 2?worth of opinion.

Now I see why Cotto would not accept the challenge of Williams. There is an imminent gift from Bob Arum for him, a big payday by matching him with Pacman. Well, Arum might be enticing Cotto not to leave Top Rank after Arums supported Margarito over Plaster Of Paris issue, by given him a fight out side the US that infuriates Cotto of this Arum initiative.

Pacman as sacrificial lamb by Arum, might be feed to the lion for reasons as many believes. You might be right but Cotto is a taller mountain to hurdle than Hatton. Although I am still gearing with Pac against Cotto if that would become a reality. Besides, you did not get what I mean. Pacman many times has been be littled since against Diaz to ODLH and he used to this because at the end he stand victorious anyway! Now, they are using this battlecry again against him to Cotto, but who will know at the end? One thing is for sure, Belittling Pacman has no effect at all to him, in fact, I remember as per Pacman said before, he loves to be the underdog to pull victory, of which he proves many times!
