It's cool, my scoring method is different. I respect your opinion too, I would just say this, if you do have the time available, re-watch that fight, Close up or in slow mo, ignore the commentary, and see if your score is any different.

Dawson isnt landing the clean punches he is getting credit for.

Reminds me a little of williams margarito, where Margarito was blocking tonnes of shots and people had it like 116-112 for williams, then you look at Margarito's face, and you know there is no way he's been hit as clean as the commentators make you think.

I dont count blocked punches, only the landed ones.

I have watched the fight a couple times. It's a close fight no matter how you score it. I just think Dawson swept through the early rounds and won a couple of the late rounds to win it. Much respect given to Johnson though, he certainly made his case.

cosign. I don't care how old Tarver was, he wasn't bad that night, and Chad treated him like a little boy. Dude throws like 10 punch combos with power (cough...Calzaghe...cough). Mixes in body shots with his combos and has a nice stiff jab. Even Floyd said "Dawson is the best pound for pound fighter n the world". Now I wouldn't go that far, but he certainly has the goods. Only thing I question is his chin, but so far he's shown good recovery ability.

Plus Dawson shut Tarver up. Everyone has to appreciate that.

Did you apreciate when he shut Roy Jones Jr. up? The fact of the matter is Tarver hasn't been the same fighter that fought Jones. He went and did the Rocky movie gained a whole lot of weight and later on fought Hopkins, but he wasn't the same fighter. he wasn't in his best condition.
