LOL @ Morales being in his prime when he beats Manny, and aging when he lost.

You guys crack me up on here.

The De La Hoya fight was made with everyone knowing that Oscar was not the fighter he once was, but it was still intriguing because of the size & strength difference.

Its just so convinient for all of the naysayers to point to these things after the fact.

And double LOL @ your idiotic analysis of who Manny can fight.

    You are an idiot.
Okay, prove me wrong that he doesn't fight guys like that.

    • Oscar De La Hoya
    • David Diaz
    • Marco Antonio Barrera
    • Jorge Solis
    • Oscar Larios
    • Emmanuel Lucero
    • Agapito Sanchez
    • Lehlohonolo Ledwaba
    • Wethya Sakmuangklang

Just a few fighters tailor made for Pac, who stand off him, don't pressurise, let him do his in/out thing and let him control the ring.

If a fighter brings the fight to Pac, pressurizes and imposes his size and strength on Pac for 3 minutes of every round, then Pac is in trouble.

No fighter has really done this before, but Hatton will and he just so happens to be a big, powerful brawler.

Nedal Hussein was one example of a guy causing Pac problems with pressure. He even knocked down Pac.

He doesn't do any where near as much physical, sustained, aggressive pressure that Hatton will bring.

              Bassy,

You can have a differing boxing opinion without resorting to the insults. That is beneath you. Or should be.

Listen... we all saw Oscar fight Floyd, and then fight Forbes. We all kinda expected THAT Oscar. A guy who would make weight, and then rehydrate to 160-ish. Nobody expected Oscar to weight 145 (his lowest in a dozen years) and then to actually weigh less than Manny on fight night.

              Clearly, that was a game-changer.

In boxing, there is an age-old expression "he got old overnight". You see a fighter in May, and he looks completely different than he does in December. It happens.

I'm not making excuses. I'm explaining.

If you say anything in the slightest against Pac, sarcastic or not, you will get knocked for it by Pac nuthuggers.

What happens is that novice boxing fans get too hyped up on the last performance or the last fight. They lack the deeper perspective.

I , um, heard that after Hatton beat castillo, there were a bunch (A TON) of posters saying 'Hatton will KO floyd'. Jeez.

Many of the posters here are very young - which is good for the sport. Thay will grow as fans. But they also post out of emotion, not knowledge.

people love to downplay pacs opponents when he fought and beat the best possible comp. remember he beat marquez too. keep saying all that negative stuff, it dont really matter real boxing experts regard pac as an ATG. you guys love to nit pick records when you can do that to basically every fighter.

give your excuses now for when pac beats hatton, because this crap is getting old.
