Floyd MayweatherIt's anyone's guess who Floyd Mayweather's next opponent might be.

If the former pound-for-pound king emerges from retirement, as rumored, he'll have his pick of numerous big-name opponents. Manny Pacquiao has called him out. Shane Mosley has called him out. Juan Manuel Marquez, Ricky Hatton and Paul Williams are waiting in the same line.

The Press conducted an online poll last month that produced some intriguing results:

?An overwhelming 82 percent of the 1,843 voters want to see a Pacquiao-Mayweather showdown to settle the pound-for-pound argument.
?Mosley received 9 percent of the vote.
    ?Marquez received 4 percent.
?Hatton and the retired Oscar De La Hoya received 1 percent each.
?Williams was not included as one of the choices.

Another poll conducted by About.com is producing similar results. Pacquiao is the clear favorite of fans who want to see him slug it out with Mayweather.

    The findings:
?It shows Pacquiao is getting 48 percent of almost 700 votes so far.
    ?Mosley has gotten 16 percent.
?Miguel Cotto and Marquez have gotten 12 percent each.
    ?Hatton has gotten 5 percent.
    ?Williams has gotten 4 percent.

There are unconfirmed reports Mayweather has sent feelers to Pacquiao's camp expressing interest in meeting in the ring later this year.

In the meantime, all fight fans can do is dream about who might be next on Mayweather's hit list.
