Whats up with all these threads? He knocks out a 39yr old and now everyone is on the band wagon? Im not ripping him. I have always stuck up for him when people were ripping him and saying that he doesnt deserve a JMM fight and shouldnt be calling those guys out. I thought that was garbage but I also think that people are going over the top in the opposite way now. He hasnt earned all that hype.
How in the world does Valero get all this hype but an undefeated guy like Guzman who has beaten a super top guy in Sotto be pissed on by people on these boards? It makes no sense to me. Its only because Valero knocks guys out and once again pure boxers always have to take a back seat in the minds of the fans and media. Its not fair. Then when the pure boxer fights the slugger, who always wins? Im not hating on Valero but people are going way too overboard consideriing he doesnt have any big wins yet.
I stuck up for him and said that its not his fault he doesnt have the big wins because he was banned from fighting. In that case though you should make threads talking about who you would like to see him fight, not about how he can beat everyone's asz. He hasnt earned the right to be making threads like that. So far, he isnt Pacaquaio. He may get there but he's not there yet. Ive always maintained that guys like Pac, Calzaghe, & Valero are still overrated in the sense that they have a super huge advantage by being Southpaws. They wouldnt be nearly as dominant if they were righties. Still, the difference between him & Pac is that Pac swings straight. He shoots his punches down the pipe which allows him to dominate on the elite level but Valero is throwing wide looping punches that willl come back to hurt him at some point. I want to see him get big fights but the same people on here who are saying that Tyson is overrated for knocking out bums are the same ones who are sweating Valero. He should fight a Soto next and then he can receiver the hype. Still, it shouldnt be more then what Guzman has receieved but no doubt it will be because thats just how things work in boxing
