    can hopkins vs kessler

    happen anytime this year???

    if hopkins doesnt get jones..

why on earth would hopkins want to fight kess when hed be facing arguably the highest risk and lowest reward fighter between 160-175.

a fight with adamek makes much more sense, adamek is beatable, not that big and his kryptonite seems to be the counter straight right hand.

Kessler is made for hopkins, very reliant on the jab followed up by the straight right, not great laterally, shoots in straight lines.

Hopkins would parry that jab, and do all sorts off it.

Good fight for hopkins actually, provided the stamina is still there, it wont happen this year though.

Team Kessler already offered Hopkins a whopping 4 million USD for a fight. Hopkins turned him down.

What a pointless fight it would be. Why would Hopkins fight Calzaghe's leftover

If thats true its a shame, because Hopkins is made for him to be honest, any fighter that is that reliant on the jab is more than likely gonna have nightmares against hops. He's not a great mover either, hops would pull the same old trick, parry the jab then counter, move in range, then move out again so the fighter cant get set, then lead, clinch.

So Kessler is open to big fights then and that promoter dispute is done?

So he can fight the winner of taylor and froch?

                Pointless imo.

I mean he is 44. If he faces Kessler, then what? Then Dawson? Then Johnson again?

He probably has only 1 more fight left, which is why he probbaly wants Adamek, one last payday, and is outta there

Yea, for the reasons already mentioned I think a Kessler fight would be useless.

The clock is ticking and and he doesn't really have much of a choice as far as potential opponents and Adamek seems to clearly be his best option for what could be his final fight. I'm still staying optimistic about the fight happening since there really doesn't seem to be a plan 'B' for Hopkins.

kess's jab is quicker than you think - he is quicker, stronger, has a better arsenal of punches and can handle a quicker pace than hopkins.

kess is probably the hardest puncher that hopkins would face and imo hopkins would have a hard time taking his jab away from his. alot of people seem to think kess is a bigger version of pavlik but hes got much better fundamentals and has better footwork and handspeed.
