Fought the wrong fight? Did you watch what happened? Cotto boxed Margarito's face off for 6 straight rounds before attempting to coast. As soon as he took his foot off of the gas, and Margarito landed, Cotto was completely changed. His nose shut, his eyes swelled up, and he ran out of air. All in a very short period of time.

Im gonna have to agree..I saw nothing wrong with how he fought. The kid was smart and was basically schooling this older man to where at times it was almost comical for me..After the 6th is when **** really started to hit the fan. Eventually youre gonna get hit and those "loaded punches" are gonna start to take its toll..


Like i said in another thread, when you have someone with a granite-chin who throws over a 100 punches a round and on top of all that you add loaded-gloves into the equation. Youre in for a baaaad night.

We'll see how Margarito does in his next big fight(if he ever gets one). Remember Margarito had PLASTER in his wraps. He has something to prove, not Cotto.

I hope he starts legal action against Margarito to force a investigation. If they do Margarito will either have to confess quickly so he doest **** up more, or wait for a investigation ly and when the investigation finishes got to ****ing jail.

LOL..Investigation into what? All they can ask Margs if he used loaded gloves in the Cotto fight and he will say NO, end of investigation!! Its not like they keep hand wraps in a storage unit...Somebody give that baby Cotto a bottle. In the record books it will still show he LOST.

i agree,i would want a rematch if i suspected someone cheated,,seems to me this is only speculation that he might have used this in his fight,and he knows he might lose,i would ask for an immediate rematch to prove he is better

Mosley landed bombs that didn't make Cotto blink, and we know Shane probably has more 1-punch power than Antonio. Just like the fight with Mosley, Cotto was preparing to set up a strong finish by taking it easy for a couple of rounds. Antonio's hands were su****iously heavy during that time, and it turned the tide far too quickly.

As much as I would love to watch Cotto beat him up in a rematch, he's been completely vindicated by this revelation.

Yes he fought the wrong fight..He boxed for the 1st 6rds RAN OUT OF GAS..he didnt coast there was nothing left in the gas tank. If you had watched Cotto's interview before the Jennings fight u would have heard him say "my legs got heavy after the 6th rd"..

Cotto has the right to be pissed, but I think he's letting his emotions get the best of him. Why wouldn't he want a rematch with a "non-loaded" Marg to prove his first loss was due to plaster?
