I don't think Mosley is the type of guy to demonize his own style and the style that his is closely associated with in the typical Mexican warrior style... it's just a difference of priority.

Now, if Mayweather said something about Mosley fighting like a Mexican, I would be more inclined to think that he was saying it with some distaste, because his style is just so much different and he doesn't see the profit in fighting like that.
See I disagree, because just from what you said, he is admitting he could probably win fights alot easier if he just depended on his skill nd natural talents instead of fighting in a "mexican" style.

I will backtrck slightly, in saying it was a swipe or backhanded compliment in that I don't think there was any malice meant by it, more of a playful type thing, and I think Mosley respects Mexicans in boxing.

I actually don't agree that Mosley would do better as a slick boxer. His jab is terrible.

He tried to box Cotto early, and it did not go very well until he started fighting Cotto hard.

I don't think he thinks he could win easier as a slickster, otherwise he would have tried to do so against Wright II, when his career was pretty much on the line. He also probably would have outslicked the bigger ODLH if he thought he could have, because he fought a very dangerous fight against a P4P #1 welterweight when he was coming up from LW.

If he thought he had a better chance as a slickster, he would have said **** the fans for one fight only in an effort to keep himself from falling off.

Perhaps you are right, but maybe Mosley in his mind thinks he could have. I agree though that he does probably fight the best way he can in mixing boxing with more brawling tactics. I think he adapts well to who he is in with and fights accordingly

Lol, I'm having fun with this discussion with you, even though we haven't agree yet, and I'm going to keep the streak going:

Mosley is one of the least versatile fighters I have ever seen. That is why he could not figure out a way to beat Forrest in the rematch and has had trouble in other fights that he should not have had a problem with.

He is a fighter, through and through, and when that doesn't work, he is just ****ed.

He said he is Half Mexican because he recently found out his biological father is Julio Cesar Chavez.

This is why I rate Winky and Forrest highly for exposing him badly to the American style boxing.

Again this question is directed at American boxing fans not anyone else. Don't VOTE if you are non-American.
The third option is pretty accurate, all you seem to do is bash any welterweight that isn't Paul Williams or Floyd Mayweather, always failing to give props to the guys that are actually fighting at welterweight, it gets old after a while. Shane has paid his debts, let him have a last day in the sun before retiring.

I will say... Shane is not really fighting at welterweight at the moment.

He just turned down Berto and Williams, so... it seems like he is playing the Mayweather game and only taking the highest paying fights.

This always ****ing happens when a fighter gets on top, and it's really irritating. Oh well.
