That's a contradiction in terms. By definition, circumstantial evidence is not proof and is not fact.

Hopkins toyed with Pavlik, who beat Taylor twice, who beat Hopkins twice, so your logic fails. Styles do make fights, whether you are prepared to admit it or not. Cotto's broken nose, which meant he couldn't breath properly, which must have affected his stamina; and the fact that he didn't clinch in the fight whereas Mosley clinched a lot; and the fact that he fought on the retreat, which isn't his normal style, whereas Mosley never retreated; were all factors in that fight, whether you're prepared to admit it or not. It is very likely that Margarito cheated in the Cotto fight, but it is not a proven fact. It is perfectly possible, although very unlikely, that Capetillo simply didn't think of the idea of doctoring Margarito's knuckle pads with plaster before the Mosley fight.

You're still at it, can't your dumbass comprehend that you can't argue if Cotto should have clinched or anymore nonsense because this fight is tainted. The su****ion of plaster in this fight makes all your arguments irrelevant, because it would change Cotto's gameplan for this fight.

You're still playing your childish game of insulting and abusing anyone you disagree with.

There is no proof that he cheated in that fight - it is very likely but not proven. It's tainted, but tainted is not the same thing as proven.

You're missing the point (intentionally, it seems) that the fact that the gameplan was wrong for Margarito's style, and the fact that his broken nose must have played a part in his running out of stamina, simply show that it would have been possible for that fight go the way it did in the absence of plaster.

Boxing needs to statute an example here. Lock him up for a couple years and give him a lifetime ban.
I agree, except it is not irrelevant to some of Cotto's fans, who refuse to distinguish between "probable" and "fact".

You're the one missing the point if there was no plaster in the fight, things would have gone very different and more than likely we wouldn't be talking about this. Have you even given a thought that maybe Plasterito's early work would have had no impact on Cotto if it wasn't for the plaster and that as the fight would have gone along he would have stood his ground and pushed Plasterito back. So what your saying is dumb because there's no way this fight would've ended this way if there wasn't any plaster.

nah, Dave Rado is correct... cotto fought the wrong fight, with or with out plaster.

There is the possibility that cotto could've won anyways even though he fought the wrong fight, if margo didn't use plater; although we cannot prove that margo did use plaster, though it is highly probable that he did.

the plaster wouldnt get hard until late in the fight, so when margo busted up cotto's nose in the 2nd, that possibly was all margo and thus the fight might have occured in the same way with cotto quitting.

No all of the sudden we have expert boxing trainers in our forum. Why did he fight the wrong fight, did you see the first round? Cotto could have kept doing that all night if he wasn't getting hit with bricks.
