He took huge bombs from plenty of opponents, and a lot of those punches would have KO'd most other Super Middleweights easy.
Some of the things you say are downright ******, and I don't mean to offend when I say that, either. Your hate blinds you. Be real. Stop talking nonsense.
Sure he recovered well...but..against CAREFULLY handpicked opposition...nobody on the world-class level.
There is a REASON he hid in Wales behind his WBO ****-strap for so long...Joe understands his LIMITATIONS...too bad his fans don't.

Joe is just a WBO level fighter that was carefully managed.
Joe fought the LOSER of an elimination bout!!!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

But yea, he knocked out a prime p4p guy at 23 years old, who was calzaghe fighting at 23 years old? Then went up to heavyweight and stopped holyfield late on in his career.
You think Robin Reid would have got a split decision with James toney?
Calzaghe would have stopped holyfield too right? and Jirov at cruiser?
Let me guess, Lacy style beating right?

LOL so Kessler, Eubank, Jones, Hopkins, Mitchell were not world-class?
All hit Calzaghe flush and hard.

You are one of the most irritating posters on the board. Hands down.
Keep in mind toney took his power to heavyweight.

Kessler,Eubank,Reid,Jones,Hopkins,Mitchell all nailed Calzaghe.
This is one of the main reasons i dont believe he would beat an inshape James Toney. His defence is too leaky. Im not saying he would get stopped, but i think he would get hit with the cleaner harder shots thoughout that would cost him a decision.
Mostly of those guys caught him with right hands. What is Toney's pet punch ? exactly.
