Sheika is tough but looked out of shape but he still took every punch well & never looked like he was hurt.bull**** stoppage & if jones think he has another run in him he is wrong.Johnson, tarver,Dawson would all kill him.tarver & Johnson are way better at 40 then jones.I hate his showboating & loved it when he got his ads beat by tarver,Johnson,&calzaghe.I don't like calzaghe but I loved how he embarrassed that jackass!

On a side note, the PPV was great for what it was. Roy put allot into this afterall and it really did him justice when nobody believed this could possibly succeed.(I'm not saying it had allot of PPV buys) The commentary was very good, the show was set up nicely, the MMA mixed in there moved along flawlessly and the ring girls were smoking hot. Not to mention that the classy Jimmy Lennon Jr. was the announcer! That was a pleasent suprise. A+ job in my opinion for Square Ring's first PPV on their own. It put Showtime & ESPN's broadcasts to shame. (HBO is in a league of their own)
You people are in denial. Jones has been shot for years now.Johnson would knock jones the **** out again. I as a fan want to see him retire and keep his legacy intact. You people want him to die in the ring thats not what a real fan wants. Holyfield has more than Roy has at this point.

Yup. I don't know how to call a fighter who's only 40% -50-% of what he had been except "shot".

I'm a Roy Jones fan but I cannot imagine myself being a booster for half-a-Roy, or less.

            Roy had his time.

            THANKS Roy!

RJJ clearly loves winning and being in the limelight but beating up a old omar shika proved nothing. He should retire now on the back of a half decent win. This is his level now! I wouldn't mind seeing RJJ in with dawson, just to see how dawson compares to calzaghe. But, i don't have any interest in what RRJ is doing in the ring anymore!

I think Roy hurt his career when he moved up to heavyweight with all that muscle, then lost it and moved back to 175.Is he a shot fighter? No. But he has never liked taking chances.Tarver simply had his number. All great fighters run into lesser fighters that have a style that drives them crazy. The Johnson fight was bad timing.I still believe that Roy can beat Johnson, but he would have to train like he did when he was young and hungry.Personally,I think he's just using his name to get a nice pay day.He doesn't have any desire to become champ again. He's not interested in fighting the top light heavyweghts.I don't think it would take much at all to get Johnson back in the ring. You might think I'm crazy, but Roy has enough left to give Dawson problems. The problem is, he doesn't have the heart to do it.He lacked heart even in his prime. If he's not willing to fight the top guys in his division, then yes, he needs to retire. But I'm sure he will keep fighting bums in his hometown collecting a paycheck. But one of these bums will knock him out one day and permanently destroy the Roy Jones legacy.

Look how easily Calzaghe dominated him.

In his prime look how easily he dominates Calzaghe.
                    K. There's no way to prove that without speculation, or an equally impressive argument in return.

Second, Calzaghe wasn't in his prime when he beat up Roy either. He was only 2.5 years younger, and he's been a professional fighter for 18 years. For a guy who relies on volume punching and handspeed, he absolutely tore RJJ up.

This proves one thing: Calzaghe hasn't declined as much as RJJ, which means Calzaghe is better over the span of his career. Furthermore, this also means he would have had a good shot were both men younger.

Same as the fight with Popkins.

People are ******. They claimed Calzaghe was going to lose to both men, then he whoops one, and the other had to fake a low-blow to buy time because he was getting out-hustled, so then they accuse him of picking on old men when he wins.

He's old too. He's been around just as long as they have, and all of the pressure was on him to prove his worth against the American greats. He did. He beat both greats from his own era. He has nothing left to prove.

RJJ was a top 10 all-time p4p great in his prime. Now he's a waste of time.

With the correct training, i believe that RJJ can be a two time HW champ if Holyfield can go 12rnds with that Ape! He has nothing to lose? I wonder if the WBA has some kinda clause that allows a former champ to geta shot straight away, the Ruiz fight was great. Anything is possible.
