Tsyzu was a fantastic amateur, and the level of opponents he faced on his way to winning a world title were actually VERY impressive. I mean, he was fighting former champs in his 4th or something fight. You have to attribute that to his amateur experience.
Man...the level of the amateurs has fallen tremendously. I think it all started in 1992, when they started using computer scoring. Because it seems to be going downhill ever since...less and less Olympic fighters able to successfully transition to the pros.
