When these dumb****s are saying quit they mean a disgraceful "no mas" kind of thing, at least that is what they are implying.
being his country man has nothing to do he's being unbiased which is great but he's wrong

    he didn't quit.

Dude I get that. My point is people are making this out to be something its not, when you get Puerto Ricans saying Cotto is a quitter there is something wrong.

The poll speaks for its self, there's no shame in quitting, he fought hard and just knew his limits, I give boxers like him respect when it comes down to knowing ur limits and knowing when "enough is enough"

If THAT is the sense you really mean it in, I can see you having a point. The problem that I have is that people are calling his heart and mental toughness into question. The word "quit" is a four letter word in boxing, and I know I keep going back to Duran, but thats what people think of: A guy who gave up before he was defeated, when he still had gas in the tank. Cotto was simply beaten to tatters of a man, and even then whether or not he was willing to stop is up for debate.

Have you ever worn boxing gloves, little boy?
When your beaten down, your beaten down. Its not the same as being a coward or a quitter.
I am so sick of hearing this ****, you guys have no idea what its like to be completely out of gas while some guy is beating the **** out of you, character and toughness have nothing to do with it. Hence it not being right to call the man a "quitter".
