Juan Diaz gained more fans even though he lost

Every die hard Marquez fan I know all said the same thing...Diaz is a true warrior, he fought his heart out and stood up like a man even afer getting up from the first Knock down, he truly got alot of people's respect because most didn't give Diaz a chance against a great like Marquez.

It was an amazing atmosphere it was fun just being there live!

I would love to see Diaz fight again, no shame in losing to the man regarded as the best Mexican fighter of this day. Marquez is a A+ fighter, no chump.

Diaz is a warrior, i would like to see him fight again. He went out like a man. Personally I must admit I gave Diaz 0 chance agains Juan Manuel marquez i was shocked to see the baby bull punishing Marquez in the early going, but once the experience kicked in marquez wasnt going to be denied.

Co-sign. I was also at the fight, and the way Diaz came out from the opening bell made me get goose bumps. It was a hell of a fight and im a bigger fan of both guys now then I was before the fight. I was upset when I heard these guys were fighting each other because both guys are in my top 5 fav. fighters I didn't want either to lose. But after the fight JMM stayed at #1 and Diaz went from #5 to tied at #2 with Cotto. Great fight.

I give Diaz alot of props for the way he attacked Marquex early on and pressed the action. he made it a very entertaining fight and I didn't want it to end. Some of th emost entertaining rounds i have seen since Cotto vs Margarito. Diaz pushing forward and Marquez counter punching off the ropes and in the center of the ring. After Diaz got hurt before the first knock down he still prssed the action and after the knock down he still came forwaqrd and tried to put his opponent down. The one thing the Baby Bull is missing is KO power. He can put people out by the damage building up over the course of the fight but I haven't really seen him hurt anyone with one punch. Still I would love to see him in there again and soon. Hopefully against someone else atop 135. It is already known that marquez will be leaving 135 to fight at 140 either against Hatton, or Paquioa or Money May. So to me Diaz my still be the man at 135....Lefty

i thought he was doing better than i expected but i knew marquez would catch up and stop him. i predicted this before the fight - if i had time i'd find my post on here but i post so damn much it'll take forever.

i said marquez' laser beam punches and experience would take over the fight and would eventually lead to diaz getting stopped.

the fight overall was great IMO. it had great action, diaz showed he isnt scared to take it to an elite fighter and showed heart in his demise. i do think he needs to switch trainers or tweak his style in order to get to the next step. diaz will not beat any elite fighters with his current style - its too basic and predictable.

I like the kid a lot and at 25 years old his future looks really bright. In fact I wouldn't be suprised that he eventually wins back his titles and dominates the LW division for many years to come.
