Adamek deserves respect for having made a name for himself at 200 in a short space of time but he isn't an elite fighter. Banks was never that great, those who've seen him fight will vouch for that. Tomasz didn't exactly destroy Cunningham, a split decision was the result and take away the knock downs Cunningham would have kept his title. Steve lost that fight more then Adamek won it if you get my drift.

In all I can't say anything bad about Adamek, he ticks all the boxes with regards to what a real fighter should be, but I can't help thinking that against a top guy he loses convincingly (as he has done in the past). i'm not sure cruiserweight is home to an elite fighter so he could hold on to his title for years to come.

You just made the worst point ever. Why would you remove his 3 knockdowns when evaluating adamek? That's what he does dummy, it's what happens when u have pop! Cunningham is a badass and there is no reason to do anything but recognize him as an elite fighter that is thereal cruiserweight champ.

          Adamek looks like Bob Denver

Does anyone else see that? You put a Gilligan hat on him and he looks like a polish, stub nosed version of Gilligan?
          Or is it just me?

banks aint that great either and his chin had already been proven shaky........cunninghma takes adamek in a rematch i think....bhop would school the **** outta adamek....adamek is timid as **** until he lands something significant.......bitchnard with the track shoes on wont give him that kind of chance.......by the 6th round, adamek would be discouraged as **** and maybe even get TKO'ed late...

                  Great performance.

I thought going into the fight Banks was very much a live underdog having watched Adamek's problem with a boxer who can use lateral movement and use the ring against him for a points victory, similar to what Cunningham attempted. I was concerned about Banks lack of bouts at the top tier level and his questionable stamina, and bet on him to win as he was a +350 underdog with a good punch. He was performing fairly well the first 4 rounds, but once that gas tank emptied he was done for. Much respect to Adamek for closing the show and turning out the lights on Banks, that was quite impressive. He should talk to Jermain Taylor about taking naps in corners : )

Good performance from Adamek i thought he adjusted well, Banks did look utterly awful in his fight before this though and Adamek can be hit and hurt so i think Bhop would stand a chance of winning a UD against him, the only fighter in Bhop's league Adamek has faced was Dawson, still i think Adamek is very exciting to watch.

I doubt it Haye is bigger than Adamek quicker and has much more power, Adamek has been hurt by guys like Cunningham who are not in Haye punching league.
