Juan Urango: The Beast of the Jr. Welterweights

By Joe Harrison - In this day and age, if you are thinking about the junior welterweight division, you are probably thinking about the Ricky Hatton-Manny Pacquiao bout that is scheduled for May 2. If not, maybe you are growing anxious over the April unification bout between WBO champ Kendall Holt and WBC champ Timothy Bradley. [details]

Urango is ok, but he blew his shot at Hatton, and I don't see him beatin Pac or Bradley either.

I like Urango, he is definetly a rough and tough dude in the 140 weight class. Against any very good boxer I think that Urango would be in over his head though.

Jaun Urango-Randall Bailey could be a nice little scrap though.

I would like to see Victor Ortiz fighting him.

I love the fact that he went 5 minutes full force w/o even noticing that he just had a 5 minute round

I think it's telling that everyone and their mama at 140 is calling him out. They see that he just comes forward in a straight line without a jab and wings wide power shots. He is a very strong guy who made Hatton fight backing up. But I think he's too slow and too predictable to deal with the boxers of the division.

Urango should move up and fight Cotto. Urango vs Cotto would be good

great power, but i don't think he can beat the top boxers at 40. always has the punchers chance though i suppose.

Good fighter but Hatton put a clinic on him.

Urango gets out classed by any boxer at 140. Hell he was wobbled in his last fight repeatedly.
